Less Dutch people are going on winter holiday or, rather, they book their holiday less previously. This has to do with three kinds of things. First of all lately, because of the global warming, there’s no more 100% sureness if there’s enough snow to go on winter holiday. Most of the time only on the top of the mountains there’s snow and not in valley anymore, so there’s no chance of skying to your own apartment. The biggest decline of Dutch people going on winter holiday is in Germany. This because this is the most uncertain country concerning snowfall. Secondly, because of the crisis there’s simply no money anymore to go on winter holiday or people spend their money on things which are more important for them. Winter holiday have become a lower priority for people so to say. At last, Dutch people seem to be sick and tired of the snow. They prefer the sun and the warmth and so more and more people are going to sunny countries instead of the cold mountains. Well, what has this to do with economy and leisure? Almost everything. The crisis causes a barrier for Dutch people to go on winter holiday and so the leisure industry may change in the future.
